Respondí: -No pastor, muchas gracias.
¿Cómo me encuentro hoy?

30 years as a
Christian. I did born again
30 years are
nothing
Or yes?
To God it is
little time but to the mortal…... of course it is too much.
In November
15th 1985 I did accept to Christ as my Savior and I did born to a
new life in Christ
The pastor from Chile named Nelson Ortiz and the missionary from North America Holmes opening their Bibles in the little living room of the Shepherding house of Christian’s Temple, belonging to the Evangelical Union of Argentina, at San Antonio Oeste, province of Rio Negro and they read three verses : John 3:16, 1st Peter 2:2 and Revelation 3:20. After that, the missionary Holmes with strong foreign accent, He asked me looking at the eyes: Do you want to accept to Christ as your Savior and Lord? I did answer: Yes.
Of course. There
was a whole process before the conversion. This one it was not spontaneous but
it required of time. I think, it was more than one year. I always commented
that I did sail for a little period of time in fishing ships. In one of this embarkation named “Don
Valentin” I knew one chief called Miguel “negro” Rodriquez who, at his break
time, he read the Scriptures profusely. When I had to take the helm, I used to
found him reading aloud some parts of the the Bible. God was preparing my hearth
to the decisive moment.
It is also fair
to recognize the influence from my mother. She was protestant and her father was
evangelical pastor. She did not talk too much of her Christian life because she
had suffered so many humiliations for not being catholic. She recalled, as
example, that the people screaming at her “heretic, heretic” When she was at
school and during the funeral of one relative, it was denied the access to it
because they were “Moor”. It is a pejorative way to call to somebody who is
different in Argentina. It is important to re-mark that this discriminations
does not exist anymore, thanks to God. Today, the protestant in Argentina, We
enjoy the liberty as we never thought before.
My adoptive
mother (In fact, I am adopted) she did bring all her life with this load in his
heart. Even so, she was always attentive to my Spiritual education. As a good
daughter of the Reformation, she taught me to read and write so that, at the
moment to begin the school, not only read but write so well. She also did
instill in me the love for the books.
She had a big collection of novels and magazine of histories and some
novels of romance or crime story illustrated with photos.
My life as a
Christian, born again, it was not exemplary for long time. I was for more time
out of the word of God than inside of them. When I accepted to Christ I was 22 years old
and my family it was mixed related to the religious things. From my mother
side, as I mentioned before, She had Evangelical Christian traditions since my
grandfather to whom I never met, he was pastor (From my father side, all of
them were Catholics.
My father became to
Christ just three years before he died. I can say that he get at the presence
of the Lord at the last moment. I had always been stubborn and it took years of
pray to get that one day, to think of the convenient of earing the good news of
the Gospel). The Lord took me to the flock through several hard tests. I
understand that it was his way to help me, disciplining, because when I took refuge
in him in the painful moments, everything
converges to be better. Now I did
not miss any day to the reunion at the church and I did not think to leave to
serve any more.
When I was 33
years old, approximately, the North American
missionary Darrell Moran – Pastor of one of the church in the
neighborhood Parque Patagonia de Bahía Blanca where I did congregate at that
moment he asked me if I want to serve to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. My
answered was a complete denial that at this moment I am sorry for it. I
answered: - No pastor, thank you so
much. I don’t want problems in my life.
If I had imagine
that my life after that answer, it had more troubles than ever, surely I would
refugee in the Lord Service and not been wandering. So I thought that I can
live with one foot inside the world and other one inside the Reign. It was a
fool mistake that I pay dearly for it.
How am I right now? I am convinced that, out of Christ, it is impossible to live a life in victory. There are so many problems, the physical pursuit and intellectual, the emotional challenges, that without Jesus, we cannot get anything. I have accepted that the life that we will face it has a lot of extreme difficulties.
Now nothing can separate me from the Lord Service. The time for doubt already finish, go and come. Now, my future is to make the will of God and the rest is nothing. And if the evil intention came over me, I already have one instruction in the Bible to follow and one faith that bind me together to the one the Almighty the one who create all that exist.
I am pretty sure that God never let us even though we scream only complains, as Job, in the chapter 7 in the book that has his name. We are to serve and to suffer everything, without seeing because we walk by faith with the conviction that, at the end, we reach to see God. Greetings and thank you so much for reading.
